Eat in Sync with the Season: Warm it up with Veggies!

Winter is a perfect season for getting together with friends and family around a well prepared hearty meal. Of course when we talk about meal in this kind of season, its not only the heat of the oven that feels so good, or a hot bowl of soup. Warming foods are also a great choice during these times.
While having a tour inside the Elite Resort & Spa kitchen , my eyes focused on fresh vegetables and wondered if there are any particular veggies that suits this current weather condition in Bahrain. As usual, Executive Chef -Sultan enthusiastically shared his expertise!

I'm Happy to give and recommend the current foodie trend - “Juice it” – one of the best ways to consume benefits without discarding any of the goodness of the Veggies that you use –

You get your fast food – that is actually quick, healthy and give added bonus of giving the missing liquids, removes the compromising fats from the diet and I could go on singing paeans for this trend

Have a Sturdy Blender as one of the Must Haves in your Kitchen – “Experiment”, find and add your favorite taste maker to the Blend – herbs, sea-salt, lemon juice, honey, spices, - Find your reason to get in to this habit and stay with it.

Some Vegetables that you might want to try out this winter.

Valentine's day is just a kiss away. Everyone is busy gathering ideas on how to celebrate the day with his/her significant other;Checking online for the most unique gift, calling the best Hotels/Restaurant and checking on any Valentine's deal available. Everyone is hoping to experience that kind of "sparkle"on that lovely day
Me? I JUST WANT COFFEE! :P
Oh come to think of it, How about a "Love" in every sip? If there is a coffee of that effect, then surely "Coffeeholic" isn't enough to describe me.
Well, this article is not really about coffee, but I'm sure like coffee you will be awaken by these thoughts in one way or another...
Since it is the season of Love, let's not talk about anything else but LOVE!
Love,  they say is a universal feeling, a vast of emotion which is difficult to explain.A Romeo & Juliet kind of a thing.Seasoned writers have their own magical descriptions of the word. During Valentine seasons like this, we often come across  various literary pieces that always define us what LOVE is. It is caring, it is kind, never jealous...and so on!
For a change, Let me share  you this thoughts from Tiny Wisdom "WHAT LOVE ISN'T"   Hope you contemplate on this, and agree as I did... :)

Love isn't a state of perfect caring. It is an active noun, like struggle. To love someone is to strive to accept that person exactly the way he or she is, right here and now.” –Fred Rogers

Over the years, we form a lot of ideas about what love is, oftentimes based on unrealistic hopes and standards. We learn what we think it’s supposed to look like, and we may find ourselves frustrated when reality falls short.
It often does. Love can be messy, confusing, and imperfect, just like us, and life itself.
What Hallmark cards don’t always tell us is what love isn't  but sometimes we need to strip away ideals in order to understand and appreciate what’s real.
Love isn't always patient. Sometimes we get short, brusque, or frustrated with the people we love the most. Love is, however, recognizing that, taking a few deep breaths, and then doing our best to see the people we care about with compassion and understanding.
Love isn't always kind. Sometimes we say things we later regret to the people we love the most. Love is, however, recognizing that, taking responsibility, and then doing our best to be caring and considerate in our future interactions.
Love isn't  always selfless. Sometimes we fail to consider the needs of the people we love the most. Love is, however, recognizing that, taking their feelings into account, and then doing our best to find a balance between giving and taking.
Love isn't  always trusting. Sometimes we doubt the people we love the most. Love is, however, recognizing that, taking a close look at where our suspicions really come from, and then doing our best to see the best in people instead of assuming the worst.
Love sometimes envies. Love is sometimes easily angered. Love sometimes keeps a record of wrongs. Love does all these things because we sometimes do these things.Acknowledging this doesn't mean condoning it; it means recognizing that love doesn't cure us of our natural human tendency to make mistakes.

Love doesn't fail because we mess up from time to time. It fails when we fail to accept that we all do, and then think something is wrong instead of making things right.Love isn't  life without conflict. It’s about wanting and working to overcome it together.
